List of Activities Why not participate in one of our awesome activities!? Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall - We Have Great Activities for Every Season and Every Ability!

Winter Skiing
What could be better than an adrenaline packed ride down the slopes? Seasoned skiers know what we mean. For those who haven't tried it, nothing compares to a day on the slopes! Don't let inexperience stop you, we work with instructors at Camp Fortune to provide excellent Level 2 instructor or higher lessons for most of our ski outings.
Tip for Beginners: Make sure socks are pulled up in your ski boots.  By avoiding wrinkles you avoid pressure points!

Snowboarding One board, comfy boots, warm mitts, it's the way to go! Take a laid back lesson to pick up the basics, or have some fun with an advanced instructor working on new skills. There is always a new trick to try on a board!
Tip for Beginners: Some form of wrist protectors and a helmet are a good idea. You can rent a helmet through the hill or use inline skating wrist protectors.

Cross Country Skiing Winter never feels cold when you're out on the trails! Experienced Trailhead instructors will help you reach your goals whether they are trying to stay vertical, or getting the most out of skiing as a cardio workout.
There are two forms of Cross Country Skiing. Classic is the most straight forward and quickest to learn. Leg movements are in line with the direction of travel, similar to walking. (but with sliiide!) Skate Skiing is a little more challenging, providing more of a cardio work out. Leg movements are to the side, similar to skating.
Tip for Beginners: Dressing in layers is key when you're out on the trails. You'll want to un-zip while you're on the trail and have something warm to put on afterwards!

Snowshoeing Easy to master, snowshoeing is an awesome way to take in the scenery. The peaceful calm of a still winter forest covered in a fresh dusting of powder is best appreciated with a companion, a camera, and a pair of snowshoes. Take it up a notch with tips from the pros on how to get a workout on the snow!
Tip for Beginners: Once again, layers are a must for snowshoeing. Deep snow or long trails can crank up your body temperature. Be ready to shed a layer or two!

Skating With the World's longest skating rink, it would be a shame not to lace up the skates this winter! We offer both basic skating for beginners and long blade skating for those up for a challenge. Feel like an Olympian this winter with some instruction from the experts!
Tip for Beginners: Keep your skate blades sharp and use blade guards to protect them when you're not on the ice!

Dog Sledding Try something completely different this winter and take to the snow by dog sled! Nothing quite compares to feeling in the air and the excited yips of a husky team ready to go. Tour trails through the back country, who knows what wonders the day will cook up with the team at CanHusk!
Tip for Beginners: Camera batteries don't like the cold, but you'll want some pics to remember your adventure! Put your camera in a zip lock to keep it dry and warm by placing it in a pocket inside your jacket.

Tubing Get tube, grab a seat, hold on tight, obtain a push = Instant Adrenaline!
Tubing is a fun way to try out at the ski hill without worrying about tons of gear. Dress warmly!
